Or why Government should get out of the “Marriage” racket.
Being a Roman Catholic, I believe that, the act of Marriage itself, is a Sacrament. Meaning that, Marriage is a bond between you, your partner and God Almighty. Nowhere does it say that Marriage is a bond between you, your partner, God, and the Government. This notion that these folks think they are getting married is upserd. All they are getting is a piece of paper stating, We the STATE, grant you more tax provisions. Oh the horror !!!
“Oh Ron, but think of the children”. What children? Nature says Gay couples can’t have children. Unless I skipped that lesson in biology class and the laws of nature changed. “That’s not what we mean, children should be brought up with a Mother and Father”. Agreed, to a point. What I don’t like is seeing “Mothers and Fathers” who toss their children aside, and leave them in the streets.
And why couldn’t two guys, or two women show more love than the kids own degenerate parents? Because they are gay? I call bull shit. I know a few Gay couples who would do a better job, than some natural parents, raising children.
“But, but but, Ron. Homosexuality is a sin”. And there it is. Yes the “Act” of homosexual sex is a sin. And you, as well as everybody else knows, we are all sinners. So, in the Catholic and most Christian traditions, what do we do for sinners? That’s right, we pray for them. What a concept !!!
As Christ said in the book of John….6 And this they said tempting him, that they might accuse him. But Jesus bowing himself down, wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground. 9 But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 Then Jesus lifting up himself, said to her: Woman, where are they that accused thee? Hath no man condemned thee?
Now, let’s re-read that again.”he lifted up himself, and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” Granted Christ was talking to a bunch of lunatics who wanted to stone to death Saint Mary Magdalene. But the point goes to all. So before you start casting aside all that “Christian Love”, and daming people to hell, because of a piece of paper, remember Christ’s words.
Or as Momma T. would say. “Go to your room, do a rosary. And think about what you just said”.
