We really should be worried about is DC v Heller. The case challenges Washington D.C.’s gun ban. But some in Gun-Control groups seem to think that our side is going to win the case. After yesterdays rulling, I’m starting to have doubts.
The nation’s leading gun control group filed a “friend of the court” brief back in January defending the gun ban in Washington, D.C. But with the Supreme Court poised to hand down a potentially landmark decision in the case, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence fully expects to lose.
Like I said above, I’m getting worried. To be honest, I could careless if detainees down in Gitmo get “habeas corpus“. (I wonder how many of you know what that phrase means. Neo-Cons and Socialists alike). But what I do care about, is my right to bear arms. And that is more important than some cave-dweller picked up, or given up, or some got money to give a few names, “rights”.
Getting back to the ABC story.
While the Brady Campaign is waving the white flag in the long-running debate on whether the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to bear arms or merely a state’s right to assemble a militia, it is hoping that losing the “legal battle” will eventually lead to gun control advocates winning the “political war.”
We have two Presidental nominees, who aren’t to friendly to us gun owners. Sen. B.O, is infavor of only Government Thugs (Police) and Crimals having guns. Guess who else favors that. If you guessed Sen. Juan McAmnesty, you get a red star. Neither of these two gentleman, like the fact, we have an Amendment, that was put there, by our Founding Father to keep check on the Federal Government. Granted, No politican likes that we have that right. As I pointed out in the Declaration of Independence: That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government. And that is the MAIN reason why we have the Second Amendment.
If this case goes the way, of the gun control communist, then you can kiss good-bye the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 10th Amendment. Because without the 2nd, the rest are just words on a “god damn piece of paper“. Quote provided by El. Presidente Bush.
