With these two statements?
Our first is from Sen. Obama…Obama called for modernizing regulations “to suit a 21st-century market” to protect investors and consumers.
The next statement is from Sen. McCain….”The McCain-Palin administration will replace the outdated and ineffective patchwork quilt of regulatory oversight in Washington and bring transparency and accountability to Wall Street. We will rebuild confidence in our markets and restore our leadership in the financial world.”
Not much from where I’m standing. One thing I will give Sen. McCain, he did say he didn’t want to see Taxpayers money being used to “bail out” these institutions. I will give him credit for that. But, being the cynic that I am, I don’t believe him.
Being the radical free market guy that I am, seeing these “institutions” fail, and then seeing the Government come in and save the day is disgusting to me. Folks, this is not “Free Market” economics. This is plain and simple fascism. When Government and Private business come together, is the definition of that evil ideology.
